Dwara trained at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York, and has been in full time practice since graduating in 1992.

She visited Beijing, China for post-graduate training in 2000, and completed a further training in Chinese Classical Herbal Formulae at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, in 2004.

Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, she worked as a social worker, later specialising in mental health and going on to take a Master’s degree in Mental Health Social Work. Her work in mental health led to an interest in meditation and complementary medicine, particularly acupuncture.

Dwara is always willing for you to contact her to discuss your particular health problem before you decide to come for treatment and if, after the initial consultation, she feels that there is no chance of acupuncture helping you, you will not be charged for the consultation.

Dwara is a member of the British Acupuncture Council, which regulates the profession and ensures the highest standards in both practice and ethics.
